Should I take this flag?¿Me conviene esta marca?
Run the arithmetic both ways: how much RevPAR a flag has to add before its fee stack pays for itself — and how much RevPAR you'd have to be willing to lose before dropping one makes sense. The two are not mirror images.

How the math works (plain English)Cómo funciona el cálculo (en lenguaje simple)
Taking a flag: the fee stack costs f% of rooms revenue at the branded RevPAR. The flag pays for itself once the RevPAR lift g it adds, times the flow-through rate, covers that cost — solved algebraically, g = f / (flow-through − f). Both thresholds are set by the fee stack and the flow-through alone — your rooms, occupancy and ADR do not move them.
Dropping a flag runs the same logic in reverse, but it is not the mirror image: the affordable RevPAR loss is simply d = f / flow-through — a different formula, not g with a minus sign. The two thresholds answer different questions (what a flag must add vs. what independence can survive), and treating them as symmetric is the single most common error in this arithmetic.
